Actress Diane Guerrero, famous for her role as Maritza Ramos in the TV series, Orange is the New Black, has been vocal about the separation of migrant families at the US border in recent months. Her memoir, In the Country We Love: My Family Divided, published two years ago, in which she recounts having her parents deported when she was 14, has now been adapted for middle grade readers.
