Taika Waititi

This year has been extremely successful for the New Zealand director, who was awarded the Queen’s Birthday Honour for his services to film. The 44 year old Maori director has progressively risen to fame over the last few years for his blockbuster Thor: Ragnarok but also his more indie Jojo Rabbit - for which he earned the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay. Last month, Waititi was also chosen to direct the next Star Wars film.
