Ed Miliband

-

In 2015, Ed Miliband resigned from his position as the head of the Labour party after a disastrous defeat at the national election. He is now back on the political stage: Keir Starmer, the new Labour leader, has recently appointed him shadow business secretary. He favours a green recovery plan to support the economy after the pandemic and is therefore reigniting his political career by suggesting the creation of a “zero carbon army”: an offer to retrain young people who lost their jobs during the pandemic to work in a green industry.
