Où manger ? Where to eat?
Bonne promenade gourmande !
We have already mentioned the Chemin du Calvaire in a previous magazine. Located on the heights of Megève, it is one of the must-see sites, particularly in summer. It is dotted with fifteen chapels and oratories representing the Stations of the Cross leading to Golgotha in Jerusalem. It was built between 1840 and 1878.
You don’t need to go all the way to the summit to find the eponymous refuge-restaurant. The restaurant, built in the purest Savoyard tradition, can be found after walking about 500 m along the path from the centre.
In your plate, you’ll enjoy a combination of quality products exquisitely prepared: • Snail fricassee, morel mushroom consommé, egg parfait • • 7-hour pig shank and matafan • • Chicken in Calvary lime tree broth, seasonal vegetables •
And the list goes on... Enjoy your gourmet excursion!
