UK VS US: SPELLING

There are many spelling differences. Some relate to the ending of a word, such as -re, -our and -ence ( UK) / -er, -or and -ense ( US), for example centre/center, colour/color and defence/defense. Others relate to individual words, such as tyre ( UK) / tire ( US) or per cent ( UK) / percent ( US).
