Special food tour through Dubai

-

Dubai is home to many excellent restaurants, many of which are just steps away from the Waldorf Astoria in the city centre. Food blogger Samantha Wood – also known as Foodiva – has made it her business to provide guests from all over the world with some insider tips as well.

You should definitely not miss the Depachika Food Hall on your personal food tour. The Depachika Food Hall on Palm Jumeirah is a paradise for gourmets and is located in the new Nakheel Mall in Dubai. This is also very popular with the locals and is not overcrowded by tourists.

Inspired by Japan’s famous food hall in the basement, numerous traders and chefs offer their delicacies here. Mainly homemade, established concepts, including "The Lime Tree", known for its famous carrot cake. Salmontini offers a variety of smoked gravlax and Greek specialties such as a wide variety of olives can be found at "Little Greece". Unusual bread creations such as turmeric bread can be found in the 1762nd district of Salmontini.

You must also try one of the best chocolate croissants in town. In the near future there are also wine tastings planned, which will change Dubai’s food scene. Not hungry, but in the mood for aromatic coffee? This is what gourmets drink at Boon Coffee, created from the best beans directly from Ethiopia.

Ibn Al Bahr should also not be missed: the Club Vista Mare project on the east coast of Palm Jumeirah has many restaurants. This Lebanese restaurant on the banks of the palm tree is not only popular with mezze lovers, but also claims to have the best seafood in town. With generous fresh platters and customer favourites like cashew nut shrimp and fish curry, these decadent looking dishes are both healthy and satisfying.
