-

Paris-based Air France is offering the Ghanaian traveling public a 15 percent discount for the winter season starting this week to mark its 90th anniversary.

The airline, which has been operating to Accra, Ghana for 65 years, has also announced 3x weekly direct service to Accra starting this winter season, after discontinuing its Ouagadougou stop.

Together with its sister company KLM, the group now offers 10 weekly direct flights to and from Accra with onward connection to over 300 destinations via Paris or Amsterdam.

“We would like to celebrate, of course, our birthday with you, and for that, we are offering all of you 15 discounts on our website AirFrance.com by using the discount code 90elegance,” Country Manager for Air France-KLM, Mees Van Ojik, announced at a special event held at the residence of the French Ambassador to Ghana to mark Air France’s 90th anniversary.

The French Ambassador to Ghana, Jules Armand Aniambossou, said France and French businesses have confidence in the Ghanaian economy, evident by the over US$ 2 billion worth of French investment in Ghana.

“French Business investment in Ghana has now reached over US$2billion dollars and we believe that it’s going to increase in the coming months,” Ambassador Aniambossou said.

Deputy Minister of Transport,

Alhassan Tampuli, said the government seeks to make travelling through the Kotoka International Airport a stressfree one, hence has digitised most of the arrival and departure formalities.

“In all, we had about 13 different steps, now that has been reducing 4 steps to reduce the stress that passengers have to through before travels. We have done away with filling out forms before travel and arriving in Ghana via our airports,” Mr. Tampuli said.
