> Spata > Year-Round

The Attica Zoological Park is the only one of its kind in Greece, housing more than 2,000 animals of 350 different species, including reptiles, big cats and dolphins. In addition to seeing the animals – and in some cases being able to walk among them – younger visitors have the option of participating in a number of educational programs, though those interested must reserve a place in advance. Visitors can also watch feeding sessions or go on a guided tour with an animal keeper. Located east of Athens near Spata, the park is open every day from 9 a.m. until sunset. Ticket prices vary based on age, employment status and group size. For more information and directions on how to get there, visit the park’s website, www.atticapark.com.
