Mediterranean culture takes center stage in a new international festival, “Mediterranean Traces,” in the city of Hania on Crete through September 9, with a focus on music, dance and film events as well presentations on the region’s dietary habits. Greek films centered around the Mediterranean environment and migration issues will be screened at the Municipal Garden Theater until August 23. On August 22 and 23, Marc Gastine’s 2004 documentary “Marseilles, A Greek Profile” will be shown at 8.30 and and 10 p.m., to be followed by a discussion with the director.
