Kiosk robbers.

Police on the island of Chios yesterday arrested five Syrian nationals, aged between 16 and 19, in connection with the robbery of a street kiosk in the main town’s central market on July 19. The suspects are alleged to have broken into the kiosk and stolen food and tobbaco products, as well as 500 euros in cash. The manager of the kiosk, Nikos Merousis, told Kathimerini that his business has been robbed fives times in as many months. On Monday, police on the island arrested four migrants – three Syrians and an Algerian – after they allegedly tried to rob another kiosk.
