Led by Rus­sian-born Ice­landic con­duc­tor Vladimir Ashke­nazy, the Athens State Orches­tra will per­form works by Beethoven, Mozart and Tchaikovsky at the open-air Herod At­ti­cus The­ater in Athens on Mon­day, August 1. Join­ing them on stage is the mae­stro’s son, clar­inetist Dim­itri Ashke­nazy. The con­cert starts at 9 p.m. and is part of this year’s Greek Fes­ti­val. Per­for­mances take place at 9 p.m. and ad­mis­sion ranges from 10 to 30 eu­ros.
