The Saris­tra Fes­ti­val takes place on the is­land of Cephalo­nia in the ruins of Palaia Vlachata, a vil­lage de­stroyed by an earth­quake in 1953, from August 5 to 7. Billed as the biggest al­ter­na­tive cul­tural event on the Io­nian is­lands, the event features a promis­ing lineup in­clud­ing Greece’s Yian­nis An­ge­lakas, Monika (photo), Pav­los Pav­lidis and Planet of Zeus and Turk­ish band She Past Away.
