Tsipras attends mini-summit on migrant crisis

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras reads ahead of a meeting of leaders of countries along the Balkan migrant route into the European Union, in Vienna yesterday. Tsipras called on fellow EU member states to show greater solidarity toward countries on the front line of the refugee crisis and to take in refugees in accordance with an EU relocation program which has been progressing very slowly. Tsipras underlined the importance of the EU’s agreement with Turkey to curb human trafficking in the Aegean and called on Brussels to provide aid to Ankara.
