Santorini is the most searched-for destinatio­n among Greek internet users, a Trivago survey reveals. The average rate for a double room on the Aegean island is 191 euros. Trailing Santorini in popularity are Hania, Halkidiki, Paros and Milos. Serbs, Romanians and Italians showed the greatest interest in Greece.

Bank of Cyprus Holdings Plc announced yesterday it posted a net profit of 2 million euros in the first quarter of the year. In the same period it issued new lending of 690 million euros and its loan-to-deposit ratio amounted to 95 percent. Its CET1 ratio was at 14.4 percent on a transition­al basis and 14 percent on a fully loaded basis. The lender’s nonperform­ing exposures were down 662 million euros or 6 percent since the end of 2016, and down 31 percent since year-end 2014. since 2015, after a wiretappin­g scandal brought down the previous administra­tion. Zaev’s Social Democrats have now formed a coalition with parties representi­ng the country’s ethnic Albanians. “I will lead a reformist government,” Zaev told Parliament. “Our goal is opening membership talks with the EU as soon as possible and NATO membership as soon as possible,” he said.
