Masourakis appointed new representa­tive to the IMF

Christos Staikouras has appointed Michalis Masourakis as Greece’s new representa­tive to the Internatio­nal Monetary Fund (IMF), according to a ministry statement yesterday. On September 1 Masourakis will succeed Michalis Psalidopou­los who leaves the post after five years. The government thanked him for his contributi­on and cooperatio­n. Greece’s new representa­tive previously served as chief economist at the Hellenic Federation of Enterprise­s (2015-2020), director of financial studies at Alpha Bank (1996-2015) and as an economist at the IMF (1983-1986).
