OA 55-year-old man on the island of Crete was convicted to 10 years in prison yesterday for repeatedly raping his daughter over a 15-year period. Addressing the court in Rethymno, the man admitted his actions but claimed that they occurred between 2017 and 2019, when his daughter was an adult, and not when she was a minor. He also claimed that everything was done with her consent. According to the case file, the rapes began after the girl turned 14. The case had shocked the local community of Kissamos and Chania.
