‘Greece After the Pandemic’ e-conference begins today Consumer behavior. Lampsa-Grande Bretagne.

The E-Kyklos think tank and Symeon G. Tsomokos Corporate Communicat­ions are holding their fourth “Greece After” conference titled: “Greece after the Pandemic” from today until Wednesday. The event, which starts at 3 p.m., will this time be online only, and will be streamed via YouTube and Facebook and the websites ekyklos.gr and evenizelos.gr. Speakers today include Deputy Prime Minister Panagiotis Pikrammeno­s, Minister of State Giorgos Gerapetrit­is, former deputy prime minister Evangelos Venizelos and Council of State President Mary Irene Sharp. Tomorrow’s keynote speaker is Bank of Greece Governor Yannis Stournaras and Wednesday’s speakers include European Commission Vice President Margaritis Schinas.

Innovathen­s will be holding three training seminars over the next three Tuesdays, available for a limited number of participan­ts, but also online through live-streaming. The first is scheduled for tomorrow, titled ”Consumer Behavior,” and aims to put participan­ts in touch with the sector and its relations with marketing strategies. Sources from the Lampsa group on Friday dismissed rumors about plans of selling the Hotel Grande Bretagne, the Syntagma Square landmark hotel the group owns, as a “joke.”

Albania-IMF. Albania’s economy was strongly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic during the first half of this year, Gent Sejko, governor of the Bank of Albania (BoA), said during a videoconfe­rence with representa­tives of the Internatio­nal Monetary Fund. The videoconfe­rence participan­ts discussed the economic impact of Covid-19 and the country’s prospects for recovery, the BoA said in a press release on Friday. Sejko said that the pandemic had a particular­ly adverse effect on consumers’ behavior, investment­s, employment and public debt. The easing of social distancing measures has had a positive impact on the economy, enabling a gradual recovery. (Xinhua)
