Mariah Carey ‘never thought’ she would divorce Nick Cannon
(Aceshowbiz) Mary J Blige is ending her marriage to husband Martin "Kendu" Isaacs. TMZ reported on Thursday that the singer had filed for divorce from the man she married 12 years ago, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split. Her representative confirmed the sad news later in the day. "Ms Blige is saddened to say it is true that she has filed for divorce, saying sometimes things don't work how we hoped they would," the rep said in a statement. "But there is a divine plan and a reason for everything." The rep went on to assure Blige's fans that the divorce wouldn't delay her new music and tour. "Mary will continue writing and working on her album, which is due out later this year, along with her world tour," the rep added. "She thanks and appreciates her fans for their support and love through this very difficult emotional time." According to TMZ, the date of separation in Blige's divorce papers is listed as "to be determined" for some unknown reasons. The songbird is asking the judge to prevent Isaacs, who's also serving as her manager, from receiving spousal support.
Blige and Isaacs tied the knot in December 2003. They have no children together, but Isaacs is a dad to three kids from a previous relationship. Mariah Carey has revealed that she "never thought" she'd divorce Nick (Glamour) Cannon. She said: "I never thought I would have babies with someone and then get divorced. Like, 'Oh, great job. Repeat your past.' But life happens and it was supposed to happen. It's fine. For [my children], I wish it hadn't happened that way. For me, it was ... Guess it's over. Call it a day." The 46-year-old singer is now engaged to Australian billionaire James Packer and revealed how the couple deal with their jet-setting lifestyles. She added: "I don't expect him to be at every little thing that I do, and vice versa. He's got a lot of stuff on his plate and so do I. There's a mutual understanding. "We would like for it [their pre-nuptial agreement] not to be a big thing, but the reality is it has to be. Because there's things that are specifically mine, and he's got huge friggin' conglomerate stuff and I'm not looking to take that from him. So it has to be dealt with. Anytime you get married to somebody [it does] - and I should know. This'll be marriage number three. My bishop said to me, 'I don't want you to go Elizabeth Taylor on me!' I said, 'I'm not' - and then I said 'Bye.' And whilst Mariah remained tight lipped about her relationship, she did reveal James has always been a big fan of her music. When asked if she found it weird that he is such a big fan of her songs, she told Complex magazine: "Actually, if he didn't like my music, then how would I be able to handle him being around when all I'm doing is creating? It's cool."

"I don't know [how far along she is.] She tells me she is and I have no reason not to believe her," he said before explaining another photo taken on Tuesday showing his daughter smoking. "Well, people smoke when they're pregnant. People drink when they're pregnant. Lindsay doesn't drink," he added. Amid drama surrounding LiLo's pregnancy and relationship with Tarabasov, her friend Hofit Golan posted on Thursday an Instagram photo of her and LiLo on a small boat. She cryptically wrote in the caption, ""#timetospeakout. There's no truth to any of these speculations and stories. With all [due] respect what you don't see you don't know."
"It's about time someone stands up for a very good person, friend, daughter and fiancé," Golan continued and added the hashtag #stopspeculating.
