An area with a lack of natural resources will definitely have a lack of industry and therefore a lack of employment opportunities. People will not be encouraged to live in such areas. Would you like to live in a crowded place or a place that in not crowded? Describe to a friend what you think it would be like to live in a very crowded place. Look at the diagram below. Which of these countries would you like to live in? How would your life be different in a country with a larger population? What would result when more people live in the same space? Take a moment to imagine a crowd of 100,000 or 1million people. What would that crowd look like?
