Trophy Stall donates trophies for Futsal C/ships

Trophy Stall became the latest entity to throw its support behind the inaugural Xtreme Clean/GT Beer ‘Gold Rush’ Futsal Championsh­ip donating the placement trophies yesterday during a simple presentati­on ceremony at the entity’s South Road locale, Bourda.

Managing Director of the establishm­ent Devi Sunich, said she was elated to support the tourney which is a grassroot initiative.

She also wished the promoters success in the ongoing endeavor.

Meanwhile, Roger Cambridge, Proprietor of Xtreme Clean and Maintenanc­e, thanked Trophy Stall for its timely contributi­on, declaring that the gesture indicates that company is on the right path.

The event will resume on Tuesday at the National Gymnasium with six group fixtures. Upon the conclusion of the group stage, the top two finishers in each pool and the best two third place finishers will advance to the quarterfin­al round.

The other playing dates are Thursday, June 13th, 15th and 17th. Winner of the tournament will pocket $500,000 and the championsh­ip trophy while the runners-up will receive $200,000 and the respective accolade.

The third and fourth place finishers will pocket $100,000 and the $50,000 respective­ly and the correspond­ing accolade. On the individual side, $50,000 will be awarded to the Most Valuable Player (MVP).

Entry to the venue will cost $500 during the group round, whilst each night, patrons will have the chance to win a pennyweigh­t of gold and other cash prizes.
