LUCAS STOCK INDEX

The Lucas Stock Index (LSI) rose by 0.806 percent during the third period of trading in August 2017. The stocks of six companies were traded with 19,747 shares changing hands. There were two Climbers and one Tumbler. The stocks of Republic Bank Limited (RBL) increased 6.48 percent on the sale of 187 shares. The stocks of the Demerara Bank Limited (DBL) also increased, by 1.41 percent on the sale of 2,000 shares. On the other hand, the stocks of Banks DIH (DIH) decreased by 2.86 percent on the sale of 13,285 shares. In the meanwhile, the stocks of the Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry Limited (BTI), the Demerara Tobacco Company (DTC), and the Demerara Distilleries Limited (DDL) remained unchanged on the sale 580, 1,695 and 2,000 shares respectively.
