West Ruimveldt, Marian Academy to meet in Pee Wee final

West Ruimveldt will oppose Marian Academy in the final of the Courts Guyana Incorporat­ed, Pee Wee Football tournament following semi-final wins yesterday over Sophia and Enterprise respective­ly at the Thirst Park ground.

West Ruimveldt squeaked past Sophia 2-1. Ian Daniels recorded a brace in the second and 46th minute. On target in the loss was David Weeks in the fifth minute.

Similarly, Marian Academy overcame Enterprise 1-0. Malik Barker scored in the fourth minute. In the 5-8 positions, St. Agnes edged School of the Nation’s 1-0 while Stella Maris defeated Redeemer 4-3 on penalty kicks, after regulation and extra time ended 1-1.

In the 9-16 playoff positions, Tucville crushed Den Amstel 5-0, while St. Ambrose edged Goed Fortuin 1-0.

Also, Parfait Harmony downed South Ruimveldt 2-0 while F.E. Pollard edged Mae’s 3-1 on penalty kicks after regulation and extra time saw the match ending 0-0. The event is coordinate­d by the Petra Organizati­on.
