FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD
As Mercury and Neptune square off to alter our perception of our place as cogs in the wheel of society, the thing that keeps coming up is a question: What do I deserve out of all of this? Throughout human history, the basics of survival have been so allencompassing that relatively few people who have ever walked the earth have had the luxury of even pondering what they deserve out of life. It has only been in the past few hundred years that life has afforded the necessary indoor temperature control, running water and readily available food sources to allow an average person the comfort level on which to build loftier aspirations. Yet with the current culture of entitlement and privilege run rampant, perhaps “What is deserved?” is the wrong question to ask. There’s a great deal that can be accomplished through another line of questioning: “What can I do to make it better? How can I leave it improved from the way it was when I found it?” Of course!, you have to take care of yourself, or you won’t be able to contribute. Balance in self-care and contribution (with an emphasis on the contribution part) will bring satisfaction much more profound than could ever be discovered through a quest merely to satisfy one’s own notions of what is deserved.

However, these days you’re likely to discover environments that inspire you toward a new idea of what does, will and might make you more at peace in your own place. Right now you’re just trying things out, but you’ll soon be making upgrades.

So far, we’ve seen her be adorable, powerful, musical, tragic and magical, and now we get to see her be plastic. The versatile actress Anne Hathaway is rumored to have accepted the lead role in the upcoming film “Barbie,” a live-action movie based on the iconic doll. Hathaway’s sun, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter’s being in Scorpio, the sign of transformation, suggests limitless artistic range.
The praise and the criticism are not to be taken personally. Whether wonderful or terrible to hear, it’s invalid. They don’t know you well enough to make a determination. Anyway, their determination doesn’t matter. They only know what they assume and project. Work independent of external motivation.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23) Your superior intelligence allows you to turn things over and over in your mind, finding new angles and depths as you go. It’s not always what’s needed, though. Choose your mental battles this week. Above all, don’t agonize. But if you do find yourself agonizing, keep working through it. It won’t last. CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19) What you do makes sense to you. You’ve been developing these patterns of you-ness for years, and mostly unconsciously, as an automatic response to your world. Nonetheless, when someone else looks on the effect is nothing short of breathtaking. They’ll call you “magic,” and maybe you are. SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21) Go easy. There’s a fight that probably doesn’t have to involve you. Anyway, most fighters would agree, it’s best not to fight. Of course, if you must fight, be smart, commit and follow through. Love won’t follow the same rules, by the way. You can love a little or a lot: Any amount will improve your world.
