Hello Boys and Girls, How have you enjoyed your school so far for this new term? Do you have the same teacher? Do you have any new friends? Do plan to work as hard as you can this term. Do you remember the secrets that we looked at last week? This is one time that you can share secrets. Share them with your friends. Use your best handwriting to write them on a piece of paper or cardboard and place it on the wall nearby where you can see and read it every day.

We will now start our adventure of looking at Living Things. We will find out as much as we can about animals and then about plants.

What would you classify animals and plants as? Yes, animals and plants are living things. Another question for you – How do you know that something is a living thing? How do you know that you are living? Just think about it. Let’s find out.

We can ask several questions, check different features. Look at the chart below to check the characteristics of living things.

Animals – Look at them. Can you name them all? What do they all have in common?

Plants – Look at the pictures below and name the different plants. Were you able to name them all?

As you can see, plants and animals, are living things.
