Deep cleanse
There are some great facial cleansers out there – both expensive and pocket friendly. But let’s face it women have been properly and successfully cleaning their faces for ages, using natural ingredients. Now the products may have changed over the years, but the wisdom is the same. Here are some that you probably already have in your kitchen.
Yogurt
Yogurt is excellent when you have oily to combination skin. It must be plain yogurt and you will just need about 2 teaspoons at a time. Massaged into your face, preferably at night and wash off after 15 minutes.
Tomatoes
There is nothing quite as simple and incredible as rubbing cold tomato slices on your face. Not only do they clean your skin but also help tackle open pores, making the skin look supple and tightened.
Papaya
If you have combination skin, mashed papaya mixed with oatmeal and a little milk can work wonders. Work the mixture all over the face and neck and wash off. This will not only cleanse the skin but also help in reducing dark patches and add natural alpha-hydroxy acids to the skin.
Lemon and orange peel
If you have dry skin, make the following mixture 10 teaspoons almond oil, 10 teaspoons olive oil and the juice of half a lemon. Store this in a bottle. To use, take a teaspoon at a time and add to powdered orange peel and rub gently into the skin, including the area around the eyes. Doing so will dislodge dirt and grime and gently exfoliate the skin too.
