Vurlon Mills Football Academy maintains winning ways

Kuru-Kururu, Diamond United, Timehri Panthers and Vurlon Mills Football Academy [VMFA] recorded wins when the fourth East Bank Football Associatio­n/Ralph Green U11 League continued yesterday at the National Training Center, Providence.

Kuru-Kururu dismissed Friendship 3-1 while Diamond United defeated Eagles FC 2-0. VMFA downed Samatta Point/Kaneville 2-0 while Diamond United bested Eagles by the same score.

In other result, Riddim Squad and Agricola battled to a scoreless stalemate. The tournament, which features guest entrants Riddim Squad and VMFA, comprises Mocha Champs, Diamond United, Samatta Point/Kaneville, Swan Football Club, Agricola Red Triangle, Grove Hi Tech, KuruKururu Warriors, Herstellin­g Raiders and Friendship All Stars.

The teams will be divided into two groups of six, with the top two teams from each section advancing to the semi-final round at the conclusion of the round-robin stage.

The winner and losing finalist will walk away with the respective trophies and replicas while the third and fourth place finisher will pocket medals.

On the individual side, Plaques will be presented to the Most Valuable Player, Best Goalkeeper, Highest Goal Scorer, Most Promising Player, Most Discipline­d Player and the Best Coach.
