Courts Optical opens Grove branch

-

Courts Optical Guyana opened the doors of its newest branch yesterday at Grove, East Bank Demerara.

While the turnout at the launching was not large, it did not deter Courts Optical’s representatives from showcasing the ‘vision’ the company had in mind when it decided to open the store to meet all the vision care and eyewear needs of prospective clients living on the East Bank.

Free eye examinations and discounts on eyewear purchases were available for customers at yesterday’s launch.

During the brief launch ceremony, Manager Katy Lewis explained that the new location is the fifth branch to be opened in Guyana. The others are in Georgetown, Linden, Parika and New Amsterdam. Lewis further noted that other branches will be set up but for now the Grove Courts Optical will suffice the needs in eye care for persons on the East Bank.

When giving an overview of the company’s services, she shared that they have an optometrist on hand at the Grove location, Dr Grenalin Ang, who is a lecturer at the University of Guyana. Dr Ang was present at the launch and showcased the different machines she would be using to do eye tests for customers.

Indrani Ramnarine, the Grove/ Diamond Neighbourhood Democratic Council (NDC) Chairperson, expressed her gratitude to Courts Optical for providing its services in the area. She added that she has been a customer of the company and has never been disappointed. She welcomed the brand on behalf of the NDC and said that she knows its services will be appreciated in the community.

A Courts representative also gave thanks to the community for allowing the brand such kind patronage.

The company also invited the Manager of the nearby Bounty Supermarket to the ceremony and afterwards gave him a free eye exam. The service provided by the new location was proven to be up to scratch for a family of three, who happily had their eyes examined and then made purchases of glasses.

In a press release announcing the launch, Courts Optical said it has plans to roll out community initiatives to aid in better eye care for individuals, especially high school students.
