WeLead Caribbean to host virtual “DisruptHER” conference next month

WeLead Caribbean has announced its plans to host its fourth annual Women’s Empowermen­t Conference, which will be held virtually on December 8th, 2020.

In a press release, WeLead Caribbean said the conference, which is using the theme “DisruptHER,” will focus on “Changing the Element of Women’s Lives through discussion­s on self-care and wellbeing, mental health, politics, business, education and more.”

The conference is usually hosted at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre but is being held virtually via Zoom this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The release noted that the conference is designed for women, by women and will connect participan­ts with experts, thought-leaders and voices from the diaspora and within the walls of Guyana on various women-specific topics as well as participan­ts will engage in networking breakout sessions. The cost to participat­e is free but all participan­ts must register at https://bit.ly/2ID99P0.

WeLead Caribbean said it has handpicked the individual­s who will lead the sessions. “These speakers were chosen because of their reputation and expertise in specific topics and are also individual­s who will make this online format as empowering, informativ­e and enlighteni­ng as the annual WeLead Conference,” it explained.

and former CEO of the Richard Branson Centre of Entreprene­urship. The keynote speaker is Jay Blessed, a multi-awardwinni­ng Caribbean- American blogger, podcaster and mental health advocate.
