The Conjunction
The conjunction is a word which connects other words or groups of words.
Types of Conjunctions
1. Coordinating Conjunctions- These are conjunctions which connect two equal parts of a sentence. The most common ones are and, but and so.
Alan likes cricket but Omar dislikes this game.
2. Subordinating Conjunctions- These connect two parts of a sentence that are not equal.
The most common subordinating conjunctions are before, if, since, unless, until, when, while.

3. Correlative Conjunctions- These are pairs of conjunctions that work together.
Both Anita and Pamela love mathematics.
The most common correlative conjunctions are:

It will be a great opportunity to have you at our home for my eleventh birthday party on Saturday, May 22, 2021. The fun should be from 15:00h to 19:00h.
You will have the opportunity to socialise with many of our classmates and the rest of my family members. Mom has already made plans to have some of our favourite dishes. The games will be organised by Aunt Paula. She has included some of our video games. Dad will play the music for those who would like to dance.
