Dynamic FC defeated Melanie 20 when the East Coast

Demerara leg of the National Milling Company (NAMILCO) U17 Football championships continued Friday evening at the Buxton Community Centre ground.

Taric Trotman broke the deadlock in the 34th minute, uncorking a powerful strike from inside the 18-yard box which settled into the

back of the net. The eventual score-line was then sealed in the 45th minute when Bryan Wharton etched his name on the scorer’s sheet.

Awarded a penalty kick for an infraction inside the area, Wharton, who was tasked with the responsibility from the distance, fired his rightfooted strike into the far corner to complete the result.

Meanwhile, Mahaica gained a walkover from Ann’s Grove after the latter refused to take the playing area protesting that some players were allegedly not on the former’s initial team roster.

Over in the Berbice Zone at the Scot’s School Ground, New Amsterdam, New Amsterdam (NA) United, Cougars, and Rosignol registered easy wins.

NA United crushed Hopetown Rangers 5-0 with Civion Arokium recording a brace in the 51st and 87th minute. Adding goals to the score were Kumasi Spellen, Joshua Dougall and T’Jon Reid in the 59th, 76th, and 90th+1 minute respectively.
