Undefeated Slingerz FC maintained their perfect record in the West Demerara Football Association Senior Men’s League, brushing aside Pouderoyen by a 4-0 score-line yesterday at the Tuschen ground.

The quartet of Jamal Codington, Sheldon Holder, Lennox Younge, and Delon Lanferman were on target in the lopsided encounter, which was effectively over at the halftime interval.

Jamal Codrington opened the scoring in the fifth minute, slamming into the back of the net from inside the penalty area after receiving a pass following a passing combination.

The lead was quickly doubled as Sheldon Holder made his presence felt one minute later, rifling his effort into the roof of the net from inside the 18-yard area.

A placed shot into the far corner, after racing onto a through pass in the 16th minute by Younge, pushed the score to 3-0. The score remained unchanged heading into the halftime interval.

The score-line was then sealed in the 61st minute, as Lanferman found the back of the net, sprinting onto a through pass before slotting his effort past the advancing goalkeeper during a one-on-one situation.

In the earlier contest, Uitvlugt defeated the No. 1 All-Stars via walkover.
