Who will prevail in this November to remember Caribbean Clash of Champions meet?

The build-up has been gradual, the competitor­s have promised to deliver and all that’s left is for today’s Caribbean Clash of Champions motor racing meet to live up to all the hype, all the expectatio­ns.

In the recent weeks, the marquee event of the year for the Guyana Motor Racing & sports Club (GMR&SC0, the ENet Caribbean Clash of Champions has been touted and promoted as the greatest race of all time.

Today will prove if that statement is true.

Motor racing fans from the length and breadth of Guyana will head to the South Dakota Circuit to witness their favourite racers in action.

In an invited comment to Stabroek Sports GMR&SC President, Mahendra ‘Raj’ Boodhoo stated that all systems are in place for a quality programme to be run off.

Despite the 11am start, the shortened period of about six hours, will see the same amount of races green lighted through a system of simultaneo­us races being powered off.

“Expect a fun filled, quality on the track action, and power packed schedule of races,” declared Boodhoo.

Guyana’s best, the likes of drivers Andrew King, Mark Vieira, Kevin Jeffrey and super bikers Matthew Vieira, his cousin Stephen Vieira and Kevin Persaud, will look to defend home turf today.

The main event, the Group 4 category, will attract the crowd’s attention.
