Winners Connection, Milerock, Topp XX, advance in UDFA Futsal
Winners Connection, Milerock, Topp XX, and Silver Shattas sealed quarterfinal berths when the maiden edition of the Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) futsal championship continued on Friday evening at the Retrieve Tarmac, Linden.
Winners Connection dismantled Hi-Stars 5-0. Malachi Todd recorded a hat-trick, while Akeem Caesar and Nicholas Gentle found the back of the net once, respectively.
On the other hand, Milerock bested Amelia’s Ward 4-2. Marcus Tudor tallied a brace, with Jonah Simon and Colwyn Drakes netting one goal apiece. For the losers, Demoll Warner and Keyshawn Dey netted one goal each.
Similarly, the Silver
Shattas downed Aroima 63. Jayshawn Freeman led the way with a brace, while Damion Williams and Clifton Halley netted one goal each. Adding to the score were two of my own goals. For the losers, Shamar Gomes, Jason Swaving, and Dillon France scored one goal each.
Meanwhile, Topp XX grounded the Eagles 5-4. Ryan Noel tallied a double, while the trio of Jamal Bentick, Rudolph McAlmont, and Travis Watterton etched their names on the scorer’s sheet once, respectively. On the other side, Kelon Primo recorded a double, while Dexter Milo and Shevane Seaforth netted one goal each.

FC defeated the Golden Stars via walkover, Coomacka defeated Fearless, and Botofago
defeated the Net-Rockers in an identical manner. The event continues on Wednesday at the same venue with the elimination round of matches.
