GBTI hosts auto expo loan event
The Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (GBTI) held its first auto expo loan event at the Giftland Mall parking lot yesterday which saw the presence of many auto sales dealers and patrons.
Some of the companies present at the event were
Beharry Automotive, Continental Auto Sales, M&R Auto sales, Bear Auto Sales, Robby’s Auto Sales, Bravo Auto sales, Tokyo Motors, and Yokohama Trading.
The Sunday Stabroek spoke with GBTI Business Development Manager, Raywattie Mahadeo, who shared that the promotion, which runs to the end of June, aims to help those seeking to be vehicle owners, to do so smoothly and within their budget.
Although the bank is collaborating with quite a few of the auto dealers, Mahadeo emphasised that their loan programme was not limited to only those at the expo and interested persons can go into the bank and have them contact their preferred auto sales dealer.
“You can come view the cars that are on display and come straight over to our booth and talk with our sales people to understand how you can prequalify or qualify for a loan and if you have a quotation, come straight over to us, it is not restricted to a select few of people.”
The bank officer disclosed that there are also deals on reconditioned vehicles and brand new vehicles which the bank has since lowered the interest rates on. “We have lowered the down payment and we have extended the repayment period. All this has been done to make it more affordable for the customers.”
Mahadeo explained that GBTI’s aim is to always give back to the community and to their customers which is why the campaign will also give three lucky persons who have purchased a vehicle, the chance to be the winner of one million dollars each. “Once you come and you are able to buy a car your name will be entered into the raffle box so when you take advantage of the campaign you will be eligible for a draw.”
She also urged interested persons to be on the lookout as the expo could be coming to their area next.
