“As a youngster when you’re coming up and you saw the likes of Sir Garfield Sobers and you hear about Malcolm Marshall and you see Joel Garner and these guys, a lot of people aspire to be just like them. It’s a very young group and everybody is eager to make their mark on the international circuit.
“For us, it’s just getting accustomed to the international circuit, familiarizing ourselves with the conditions and just putting out some good performances.”
Over the next few days, the odds will be heavily stacked against West Indies but Holder believes they can hit back in the series once they pull the various facets together.
“It’s not difficult. We’re just 1-0 down with three Test matches to go. It’s just a matter of making significant improvements from the last game into this one and I have no doubt that we can do it and compete a lot better than we did in the last game.”
