Boodhoo excited over upcoming motor racing season finale

-

The final leg of this year’s Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC) scheduled for the South Dakota Circuit on November 13 is gearing up to be the biggest one yet.

This is according to president of the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMR&SC), Mahendra Boodhoo who spoke with Stabroek Sport yesterday.

“I’m very excited about the prospects this year,” Boodhoo said. “I think it will be a very large and competitive event, arguably the biggest ever.”

Boodhoo pointed out that racing fans were already buzzing with excitement with the news that Super Bikers from the United States of America will be invading these shores with the aim for setting the circuit ablaze with their builtfor-speed machines.

Speed demons from Trinidad, Jamaica, the Cayman Islands and Barbados will also be putting pedal to the medal.

They will do battle with the local daredevils like Kristian and Kevin Jeffrey, Mark and Stephen Vieira among others.

The GMR&SC head then encouraged race fans to flock the venue since “the Super Bikes, the Group 2 and 4 are must see events.” He added that an entertaining day of thrills, speed and excitement awaits. Boodhoo also noted that the club is “making it better for our fans and spectators to have better viewing as the local racers look to defend home turf.”

GTT, Ansa McAL and Fly Jamaica are already on board with the mega event.

Tickets cost $2000. (Emmerson Campbell)
