Detainee in Tower S doesn’t have

As the police continue to investigat­e a shooting incident which occurred inside the Tower Suites’ Club Privilege on Sunday morning, it has been discovered that one of the three suspects has overstayed in Guyana. The other two are expected to be released on station bail soon. Commander of ‘A’ Division, Clifton Hicken told Stabroek News that the three suspects; two female managers and a technician remained in custody up to yesterday afternoon.

He said it has been revealed that one of the suspects does not have a work permit and has been overstayin­g here and this is being dealt with accordingl­y.

Stabroek News understand­s that the arrests were made following management’s alleged attempt to cover up the matter. The technician also allegedly tampered with surveillan­ce camera footage.

Reports had revealed that around 3 am on Sunday there was an exchange of gunshots inside the club which resulted in injuries.

A victim who preferred to remain anonymous had told reporters that he was standing at the bar liming when there was a scuffle between two patrons. “Two guys had a lil scuffle, then a guy approach them and just start opening fire just suh dry”, he said.
