Man stabbed to death near Demico House

A man is now dead after being fatally stabbed by another during an altercation late last night in the vicinity of Demico House, Stabroek Market.

Stabroek News was unable to ascertain the identity of the dead man. However, this newspaper was informed that the fatal altercation occurred just around 11pm last evening, when two men, said to be armed with cutlasses, got into a fight.

The fatally wounded man was transported to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

When Stabroek News arrived at the scene, persons indicated that they were unaware of what transpired as most of them arrived after the altercation occurred.
