Big T&T trade mission due next month

-

The Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce will lead a delegation of 22 companies on a trade mission to Guyana from June 12 to 13, 2017.

According to a media release from the Chamber, the mission, which will be headed by CEO, Gabriel Faria aims to foster and build collaborative business relationships to promote the mutual growth and development of both the T & T and Guyana economies, through increased trade and commerce.

The press release points out that for decades both countries have enjoyed close links which were formally established through the Revised Treaty of Chaguaramas. As Guyana is now poised for considerable economic advancement, it is expected that new service industries requiring additional skillsets and investments will become a reality, and sustainable cross-border trade and business relations will now be the order of the day, opening new opportunities for enterprises in both territories in the sphere of export, import, distribution and investment.

The Chamber’s media bulletin said that the trade mission will host companies spanning ICT, real estate development, manufacturing, business support services, financial services and educational service among others. The visiting delegation will also connect with Guyanese enterprises in search of business opportunities to export and develop synergies with Trinidadian and Tobagonian firms in accessing the T & T markets.
