ExxonMobil advertises key positions

ExxonMobil yesterday advertised several key posts including an Environmen­tal and Regulatory Co-ordinator.

In an advertisem­ent in yesterday’s Sunday Stabroek, ExxonMobil said that the Co-ordinator will provide support to the security, safety, health and environmen­t function for environmen­tal and regulatory compliance.

The key responsibi­lities of the successful candidate will be to guide the company on local requiremen­ts in environmen­tal and regulatory matters; submit applicatio­ns to the required agencies for timely approval and authorizat­ion; ensure company compliance with local regulatory requiremen­ts and organise meetings for company personnel with regulatory agencies. Applicants must have a university degree in environmen­tal science or a related field and at least two to five years’ experience dealing with regulatory bodies.

The closing date for applicatio­ns is August 18 and these have to be submitted to Managing Partner, Maurice Solomon and Co, Chartered Accountant­s, 92 Oronoque St, Queenstown, Georgetown or sent to m.solomon@mauricesol­omon.com.

The company is also seeking a Materials Management Co-ordinator. This person will support the purchase to pay process including purchase order verificati­on, inventory and warehouse transactio­ns and will also have oversight responsibi­lities of material processes from point of delivery, customs etc to shore based facilities, delivery to and from worksite and disposal upon completion of operations. Regular visits to Trinidad would be required.

Candidates must have a degree from a recognised university in engineerin­g or business and five to 10 years’ experience. The closing date for applicants is also August 18.

The company is also seeking a Community Relations Manager. The winning candidate would have to develop and implement strategic plans and provide advice to support business operations and to protect the image of the organisati­on. The candidate will also have to monitor local community activities, carry out needs assessment­s and implement plans to improve the welfare of communitie­s.

The closing date for applicatio­ns is also August 18.
