Banks DIH donates to 27 organisati­ons

Banks DIH Limited made financial donations to 27 organisati­ons on February 28th, 2018 to the tune of $4.3 million during a ceremony at the Company’s Corporate head office at Thirst Park, a release from the company said yesterday.

Speaking at the Ceremony, Andrew Carto, Human Resources Director said “We see this not only as a part of our Corporate Social Responsibi­lity but we also do this because of the exceedingl­y good relations that we have with the public and with organisati­ons that work within the wider community in various forms of charitable work”.

Representa­tives expressed gratitude to the Company for the financial assistance.

The 27 organisati­ons are: Missionari­es of Charity, St. Andrew’s Kirk, The Scouts Associatio­n of Guyana, Girls Guides Associatio­n, St. John’s Ambulance Brigade, The Guyana conference of Seventh-Day Adventist, Young Men’s Christian Associatio­n (YMCA), Young Women’s Christian Associatio­n (YWCA), Uncle Eddie’s Home, Salvation Army, Gentlewome­n’s Relief Associatio­n, St. George’s Cathedral, St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital, Guyana Red Cross Society, Guyana Society for the Blind, Guyana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, St. Thomas Moore Men’s Home, St. Philip’s Parish Church, St. Vincent De Paul Society, St. George’s Cathedral (School Feeding Programme), Dharm Shala, Guyana Sanatan Dharma Maha Saba, Shaheed’s Boys and Girls Orphanage, St. Ann’s Orphanage, St. John’s Bosco Boy’s Orphanage, Ruimveldt Children’s Home and Care Centre and Our Lady of the Mount Charities.
