Say no to the gay pride parade

-

Dear Editor, I refer to the calendar of events for this week published by SASOD (Society Against Sexual Orientation Discrimination) which includes a Gay Pride Parade on Saturday, June 2 presumably in the streets of Georgetown. My question to the relevant authority is: “How can permission be granted to an organization to break the laws of the land?”

Our constitution rightfully criminalizes Buggery (homosexuality) based on the law of Almighty God in that it is an unnatural, unholy and unhealthy act deleterious to human beings and injurious in terms of morbidity and mortality.

For readers who have never seen a Gay Pride Parade, it consists of people who have chosen the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender lifestyle, blatantly flaunting their deviant same sex preferences in the street, in different states of undress and cross dressing often carrying banners in defiance of God’s law. I shudder to think of the gender confusion this could bring to young minds.

On April 25, 1993, such a Gay Pride March on Washington DC actually stated goals of the LGBT agenda which should be of great interest to Guyanese:

Demands for the repeal of all laws regarding sodomy;

Demands for the legalization of all forms of sexual expression

Demands to change the age of consent to allow sex with minors;

Demands for public funds to cover sexchange operations;

Demands for the legalization of same-sex marriages;

Demands for legalization of adoption, custody and foster care within the same-sex ‘marriage’ structure;

Demands for public funding of artificial insemination of lesbians;

Demands for the deliberate inclusion of lesbians, homosexual men, bisexuals and transgenders in education and childcare;

Pressure to ban prayer in public schools and other public places;

Demands that the Boy Scouts and Army be required to accept homosexuals

Is this what Guyanese want for our beloved Guyana? Is this what the Granger- led Coalition wants as part of the “Good Life” for Guyanese?

I am sure most Guyanese would respond with a resounding “No!”

Guyana, be warned, the LGBT agenda is a rebellious attempt to redefine the God-ordained gifts of sexuality (male and female), heterosexual marriage (between a man and a woman) and the family unit (husband, wife and children). It is obvious samesex “marriage” is a dead-end. The species of Man would be extinct in a short time!!!

Also, we are aware that in countries which have changed their laws to accommodate LGBT lifestyle, the rights and freedoms of the people of faith have been taken away.

As a servant of the Living God, I warn the Government of the day in the words of Isaiah 10:1 “Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees. “God honours those who honour Him. He promotes and demotes accordingly.

I urge you to withdraw permission for the “Gay” Pride Parade and to desist from receiving counsel, whether local or international, to decriminalize Buggery.

Sincerely in God’s Service, Yours faithfully, Bernice Walcott
