The night also saw Michael Alphonso who displayed fine form, manufacturing a way past the usually sizzling Samuel Ince – Carvalhal in straight sets to carve out an impressive win, 11-6, 11-6, 11-9 in the other category A match.

Abosiade Cadogan, on the other hand, clinched her second win in as many nights by defeating Mohryan Baksh in straight sets to keep her perfect record intact.
