Marics unveils new HQ and showroom

-

Marics and Company yesterday opened the doors to their new multi-million dollar headquarters and showroom for Honda Motors.

The construction of the four-storey building began approximately five years ago and was completed earlier this year. The building is located on Charlotte Street next to the Maraj Building. The investment is pegged at $350 million.

At the opening, it was revealed that the building boasts two showrooms and a state-of-the-art service centre.

The ground floor houses the automobile showroom for the Honda line of vehicles such as the CR-V, HRV, City and Fit. Hondabranded motorcycles, All Terrain Vehicles, power products and Honda outboard engines are displayed on the second floor. The two other floors house administrative offices and a bond.

The decision to open a showroom for Honda Motors was as a result of requirements from the parent company, Stabroek News was told.

“Our passion for the development of the Guyanese market only gets stronger as we pursue opportunities that will bring major benefits to fellow Guyanese,” Diana Permaul, Managing Director of the company said.

She noted that Marics is proud to be Honda’s sole distributor in Guyana and offers Guyanese top of the line products. She added that her company aims to deliver excellent sales and after-sales services.

“Honda’s continued innovations have increased the trust in the brand and respect globally… Honda [embodies] the concepts of durability, safety, fuel efficiency and environmentally-friendly products,” Permaul said. She emphasised that her company is elated to provide Guyanese with products where they can benefit from “value for your money.”

According to Permaul, the new head office will allow the company to

deliver the highest quality of service to customers in a spacious, customer-friendly environment with timely and effortless transactions. “The newly designed showroom will enable us to provide you, our customers, to enjoy a better interaction with our products,” she added.

She also said that staff are knowledgeable and are on standby to offer assistance in their modern service centre that is equipped with mechanical lifts. “Our state-of-theart workshop is fully equipped with the latest diagnosis equipment and tools, coupled with highly trained technicians to get the job done,” she said in her address to the gathering.

She also announced that while Marics is known as the ‘home of Honda in Guyana’, they have also become the official dealer for the Japanese-made motor vehicles ISUZU. The new showroom will be in operation by the end of January. The building was declared open by Minister of Business Dominic Gaskin.
