New Era/Mohammed’s Futsal semi-finalists decided

Hard Knocks will oppose Dave & Celina’s All-Stars while NK Ballers will engage High Rollers in the semifinals of the New Era Entertainm­ent/Mohamed’s Enterprise Futsal tournament following quarterfin­al wins on Saturday.

Witnessed by a large crowd at the Mackenzie Sports Club (MSC) ground Tarmac, tournament favorite and starstudde­d Hard Knocks whipped Royal Warriors 8-4.

The Hard Knocks outfit is littered with several Golden Jaguar internatio­nals who made their presence felt, as three scorers combined to tally the eventual aggregate score.

Daniel Wilson tallied a helmet trick while player Pernell Schultz bagged a hat trick. Adding a goal was Colin Nelson.

For the losing team, Sherlock Phillips recorded a double while Glendon Lyte and Keith Campbell scored one goal respective­ly.

Their opponent Dave & Celina’s AllStars edged Germans United by a 2-1 score. Benjamin Opara and Daren Fraser recorded timely conversion­s while Emmanuel Atkins netted for the losers.

Meanwhile, emerging force High Rollers edged newcomer LA Ballers 6-5. Omar Brewley tallied a hat trick while Jonah Simon, Jehu Regis and Shayne Haynes added one goal each.

For L.A Ballers, Jaleel Hamilton bagged a double while Nicholas MacArthur, Reshaun Ritch and Simeon Moore netted one goal apiece.

NK Ballers then defeated West Side Connection 6-4. Donovan Francis registered a hat trick while Keon Sears tallied a double. Adding a goal was Joel Isaacs.

For the losers, Shane Luckie recorded a hat trick while Denzil Pryce added a goal. The semifinal round will be staged on Wednesday at the same venue. The grand finale is set for Saturday.

$600,000 and a trophy will be awarded to the winner, with the second, third and fourth place finishers copping $250,000, $100,000 and $50,000 respective­ly.
