Rotaract Club of Georgetown Central in 6th Wine and Art expo

-

The Rotaract Club of Georgetown Central hosted its 6th Wine and Art exhibition at the Booklands Gardens on March 25, 2023.

A release yesterday from the club said that the event stands as the club’s signature fundraiser supporting its service to the local community.

The release said that this year’s event turned out to be bigger and better than its previous renditions with an expansion of the form of arts displayed to include greater emphasis on handcrafted art and fashion along its traditional painting, drawing, photography and art work on exhibition.

The event also offered immersive activities such as its Cork and Canvas live painting class and also new to this year’s event – “Sculpted”, a pottery making class. This year’s event also offered a wider range of wine selections from its wine exhibitors Simextra Trading, Massy

Distribution and Demerara

Limited.

Also new to the event this year, the release said, was the addition of hors d’oeuvres and charcuterie board vendors to offer great pairing with the available wine selection. The event was made possible through support and collaboration from the Bookland Gardens.

The Rotaract Club of Georgetown Central said it is confident that Wine and Art will be back for March 2024 and on a grander scale.

The release said that the Club has undertaken countless impactful service activities in its almost 30 years of existence with its R.E.A.D Project (Read Everyday And Discover) being a standout which has run for 8 years, providing reading equipment, tutoring and other resources to those in vulnerable communities and those differently abled or with developmental challenges.
