Former world-rated Guyanese boxer Raul Frank has been inducted into the Florida Boxing Hall of Fame Class of 2024.

This was disclosed by Frank on his official Facebook page. Frank stated, “I am excited to share that I have been inducted into the Florida Boxing Hall of Fame Class of 2024. I was photographed with my friends and boxing legend Vivian Harris, who was previously inducted. I am elated to join Vivian, Randal Bailey, and my brother Steve Frank in the Florida Boxing Hall of Fame. Randall Bailey.”

Frank, who ended his 39-fight career with a record of 29 wins (14 KOs), five losses, and three draws, challenged the late Vernon Forrest twice in 2009 for the vacant IBF Welterweight title. The first meeting on August 26th, 2000, ended in a nocontest due to a cut that emanated from an accidental head-butt in the third round.

In the second encounter on May 12th, 2001, Frank unfortunately lost by unanimous decision. He also competed in the IBF Light Middleweight Title Eliminator. His first bout against Rodney Jones on October 1st, 2005, ended in a draw. The rematch on February 24th, 2006, ended in a unanimous decision defeat.

Frank also fought Terrance Cauthen in a second IBF Light Middleweight Title Eliminator on January 25th, 2007. The match, which was initially awarded to Frank as a technical knockout, was subsequently reversed to a no-contest by the New York Commission owing to a head-butt that was scored as a knockdown. Frank ended his career on home soil with a unanimous decision win over compatriot Denny Dalton on November 6th, 2011.
