CASCO HISTÓRICO

Con 52 manzanas que lo conforman dentro del casco histórico de la ciudad se destaca la catedral, un motivo de orgullo desde su bendición en 1803 (inicio de construcción 1789). El cine Hispano está contiguo a la catedral y se edificó en 1914 para albergar una tienda que funcionó hasta 1946. Después el inmueble se convirtió en el cine Rex y posteriormente en el Hispano, nombre con que se le conoce, a pesar de que cerró hace varios años. No deje de visitar la Casa Arias, el Mercado Central, la Escuela de Varones y el Kiosko del parque central.

Conformed by approximately 52 acres, the Historic Quarter of the city, stands out by the cathedral, a source of pride since its blessing in 1803 ( beginning of construction 1789). The Hispanic cinema is next to the cathedral and was built in 1914 to house a store that operated until 1946. Afterwards, the building became the Rex cinema and later on the Hispanic cinema, as it is known today, despite the fact it has been closed down for several years.
