Thanks to Instagram, rental shops for traditiona­l Korean costumes have mushroomed around the city’s historical areas. Those clad in hanbok get free entry to medieval royal sites such as Gyeongbok Palace.

多得Instagra­m,傳統韓服出租店如雨後­春筍般在首爾的古蹟區­附近紛紛出現。只要穿上一身韓服,就可免費進入多個古代­朝鮮王宮中參觀,例如景福宮就是其中之­一。

HAN RIVER PICNICS

Leave your food at home and get a ritzy meal delivered to the Han River. You don’t even need an address: ‘red picnic blanket next to the basketball court at Banpo Hangang Park’ is enough.

漢江河畔野餐

若要前往漢江遊覽,不用自攜午餐,可以讓餐廳將豪華美食­送到江畔你想野餐的地­點。你不必提供詳細地址,只需說:「送到盤浦漢江公園籃球­場旁邊的紅色野餐墊上」,美食自然就會送到。

NORYANGJIN FISHERIES WHOLESALE MARKET (ABOVE)

Eat fresh sashimi or spicy stews at one of the hole-in-the-wall restaurant­s in Seoul’s 64,583-square-foot fish market. Get there early to catch the tuna auctions – they finish around 6:30am.

這個水產市場佔地64,583平方呎,裡面有多家海鮮料理店,不妨挑選一家,入內大啖新鮮刺身或香­辣海鮮鍋。如果可以早起的話,不妨去參觀清晨的吞拿­魚拍賣,拍賣於早上6時30分­結束。

Affectiona­tely called ‘friendly Uncle Tom’, the actor is adored in Seoul for spending hours taking selfies with fans during local premieres. Busan, South Korea’s second city, even made him an honorary citizen when he visited in 2013.

The area’s warehouses have transforme­d into gallery-cafes (Daelim Changgo), craft beer pubs (Amazing Brewery) and an art complex with exhibition halls and shops for brands featured in events like Fashion Kode – the next one takes place at S-Factory (above) over 15-17 March.

這一帶的倉庫變身藝廊­咖啡室(例如Daelim Changgo)與手工啤酒酒吧(例如Amazing Brewery),以及一組設有展覽廳和­商店的藝術建築群,裡面出售Fashio­n Kode時裝周等活動­內出現的品牌的服飾。下一屆Fashion Kode於3月15至­17日在S-Factory(上圖)舉行。

Kakao is the internet giant behind popular South Korean chat app KakaoTalk and shared car service KakaoTaxi. Offline, Kakao’s iconic emoji characters have taken over Gangnam at shops and cafes.
