Toyota elevates Kazuhiro Kobayashi to China unit GM

Kazuhiro Kobayashi, general manager of GAC Toyota Motor Co Ltd, has been promoted to general manager of Toyota China effective April 1. Since Kobayashi entered the Chinese market in 2013, Toyota China began to target the small car and hybrid car segments. Toyota also reassigned five senior executives in China. Tetsuo Ogawa, former general manager of Toyota China, will be in charge of the North American region after the reassignme­nt. Games firm Shenda names Shen VP of arts center

Shenda Group, a major online games developer, operator and publisher, has named Shen Fengliang, an expert in art-related research of online games, as vice-president for its arts center, which is being set up to advise on design for its big projects. Shen joins Shenda from Seasun Games of Kingsoft Group, where he was general manager. Ye Jian, who quit Shenda, returned as deputy general manager of Beidou Studio. Ye once worked at TianCity, leading the developmen­t of online racing game Crazyracin­g Kartrider. Tandon to head expanding Youzu Interactiv­e’s India unit

Anuj Tandon, former executive manager of Naraza, one of the leading Indian game publishers, has been named CEO of the Indian branch of Youzu Interactiv­e Co Ltd, a Chinese listed game company. Tandon was in charge of the mobile game publicatio­n and marketing in Naraza. Youzu said on March 7 that Tandon would oversee the Indian market foray as part of the company’s global expansion strategy. LinkedIn’s Reid Hoffman rises to Microsoft board

Reid Hoffman, co-founder of LinkedIn Corp, has been named the 12th member of the board of directors of Microsoft, the company announced on March 14. A graduate from Stanford University, Hoffman is better known as the partner of Greylock Partners, which is an investor in Facebook and Airbnb. He is also the co-founder of LinkedIn and PayPal. In June 2016, Microsoft acquired LinkedIn for $26.2 billion. Krause, BMW ex-CFO, joins LeEco-backed Faraday Future

Stefan Krause, former chief financial officer of BMW, joined Faraday Future, an electric automobile company as global CFO. China’s LeEco is an investor in Faraday Future, where Krause will lead the finance, investor relations and asset management department­s. Krause has 30 years of experience as the executive manager of leading internatio­nal enterprise­s, including Rolls-Royce and Deutsche Bank. Yin Yimin succeeds Zhao as president of ZTE Corp

Telecom equipment and smartphone maker ZTE Corp has named Yi Yimin as its new president in place of Zhao Xianming, who will step down but continue as the CEO. Yin’s term is till March 2019. Prior to this appointmen­t, Yin was in charge of ZTE’s product research, marketing and mobile phone department­s. He was named CEO from 2004 to 2010. The company said separating the roles of president and CEO will benefit its developmen­t.
